I managed to have a 2 day 'layover' in Chicago on my way to a conference in San Francisco. It was so great to be able to see friends and my brother. Friday night we went to wrigleyville area and had a champange and beer (yep!) and my Saturday was packed with lots of fun stuff. I played floorball with the Swedish girls, had lunch at the Globe while watching the Swedish World Cup qualifying game with my brother and some other Swedes. The weather was just amazing (sunny and warm early fall weather) and we sat outside on a patio most of the day. Sunday I had to go to San Francisco and had a full day of meetings. The next two days were pretty much exactly the same, long meetings and then a couple of minutes left over before dinner to go shopping. For some reason since I have been away from the US for about 2 months, I feel that I have to shop like a crazy person when I am there since the dollar is so cheap. It was great to see my colleges but I was so exhausted and jetlagged when I was heading home.
This blog is about the Goble family, but mostly written by Sandra or Matt. Sandra is from a suburb of Stockholm in Sweden, but lived in the US from 1999 - 2008. Matt is from Marion, Iowa. We met in college (Iowa State) in 2001 and moved to Chicago together and got married in 2005. In 2008 we moved to Sweden and that year we adopted our little puppy Oliver and in 2009 we got pregnant. This is our way to share with everyone photos and events in our lives.
