Winter Wonderland

So the weather has been inhumane latelty. It was - 8 F (or -22 C) and -20s F (-30 C) i wind chills. It has been snowing one day and then really cold the next. You would think that all we would do is stay inside and watch movies, but no. This weekend we rode up with our friend Anna to Wisconsin and skied!! Yes, we were outside for hours in this cold weather. We had to try out our new skis and boots and get a warm up for next week when we are heading to Colorado with Katti. We really had the slope almost all to ourselves. There was not that many other insane people out, just us. Well our gear works pretty well and I am really excited about our upcoming trip. I posted a photo of us when we are walking to the train in the morning. It is pretty outside but way too cold.

So I thought I'd post a photo of the TV armoire that I found at salvation army this weekend. It was only 30 dollars and I love it. Ok, my life is pretty bland right now.

Busy weekend

I actually had a snow day this Friday because we got lots and lots of snow so you would have thought that I'd be really relaxed after 3 a three day weekend. But no. I was pretty good at packing the weekend with lots of errands. Friday I went downtown and saw a matinee with Carrie and had lunch. I love going to movies in the middle of the day. It always feels so weird when you get out and it is in the middle of the day. You are just expecting it to be night or something. We watched 'Michael Clayton', it was so good. If you have not seen it go see it right away!! Saturday Matt and I had a busy day working on the condo. We went to Home Depot at 8 am in the morning to get grout. Yes, our lives are pretty domestic and boring sometimes, and then we were pretty much running around all day and also getting lots of cleaning done. We found and awesome TV armoire and staged the living roon. I will have to post a photo since I am so proud of it. Our house is now ready for showings. Sunday was superbowl so we went over to Eirik's house and ate lots of food. I actually suprised myself by wanting to bake and I made baked brie cheese. It was delice.. It was a really exciting game actually. Matt played dodgeball in the morning actually tore a muscle in his arm so that morning was pretty eventful too. Poor thing, I was hoping the two of us were done with injuries. Now I am heading off to Swedish Class. I am going to be the best teacher ever since I am bringing semlor (pastry) to class today.
