Corporate Challenge 5 K

I signed up on Matt's work team and ran the Corporate Challage 5 K with him. He beat me with 30 sec, but I feel good about it anyway! He just need to stop training because otherwise I cannot keep up with him at all. This weekend I am off to Galena for a bachellorette party and just hang out with the girls. I am superexcited!

Robyn

The Derby

Last weekend we went to Louisville, Kentucky to see the famous derby. We were a group of 9 friends in a rented RV. I loved the RV and wish I owned one. The whole weekend was a blast with too many stories to tell here.. the in-field was really an experince that I will soon forget. Non stop partying, mud wrestling, and other shenannigans.. I did not partake in any.. except for some calm drinking of beer in my lawn chair. I gambled a few dollars and actaually won $16 dollar. Pretty good for the derby. Thank you to Kristi who planned the whole trip!! It was a blast.

Terragusto and new hair-do

We went to an amazing italian restaurant yesterday called Terragusto. This place was so great since if you are a party of 5 or more you just automaticly got the chefs special. Which was an endless stream of apetizers and pasta dishes that the chef decided on. It was all so great and fun to just get to try lots of different foods. It made me feel like I was living the high life. I also got my haircut. It is now short and I do look my age. I am still trying to get use to it so I am not sure I like it yet.

Chicago Weekend with Jen

Matt's sister Jen came to visit us last weekend so we spent most of the weekend doing lots of touristy Chicago stuff. We walked around Millenium Park, State Street, Magnificent mile. We visited the top of the Hancock and then we went to a sox game. The whole weekend was lots of fun. We ate dinner at an italian place and Matt who was starving after all the walking was insisting that he needed the 'full size' order of spagetti... well, he ended up eating that pasta for an additional 2 days until he finished it all. The Chicago White Sox game was also fun and a total different experience then going to a Chicago Cubs game. We also did have time to do some shopping even if the weekend was jammed pack. Sunday I cleaned out my closet. That was really needed. I have no idea why I am still holding on to a pair of lether pants from high school, or jeans that doesn't fit me anymore. We had to rent a car to get all the bags over to salvation army. Now, when I open the closet I can actually say: 'I don't have anything to wear' and it might almost be true... almost.
